The School of Rock

Dewey is a short, chubby guy whose goal has always been to become a rock star. He lives, however, with no money and in Ned's apartment, an old friend whose girlfriend will make the impossible to kick him out.

And as if this was not enough, the same band that he formed some years ago has decided to let him go because they claim he is the worst member of it.

About to be kicked out from the apartment where he stays at and without any money, taking advantage of a little telephone call confusion, Dewey pretends to be his friend Ned and thus become a substitute teacher at a prestigious private school. When he discovers that his students have a big musical talent, he decides to form with them a small rock band with which he intends to win a prestigious band competition.

We have a really lovely film, which, with no pretensions, manages to become a classic film about rock. The school of rock, which is over two hours long, does not lose at any time the feeling of being basically a paper about how much fun rock should be, thus skipping, sometimes abruptly, the dramatic and complicated moments in the history of rock.

This film never forgets its goal that is to remind us how exciting and important the music has to be. Also, this film is ultimately a very well told story.

Definitely this is a film that will be loved by rock fans and those who want to spend two fun hours, thanks to several moments that are a guarantee for laughters.
