Lilyhammer

Lilyhammer is the story of Frank Tagliano, a New York mobster who is sent to Norway after testifying against his former colleagues and who needs to adapt to the lifestyle of this country. Tagliano is played by actor Steve Van Zandt, known for his role in “The Sopranos” and for belonging to Bruce Springsteen's band.

Isolated from his former life, Tagliano, once a feared mobster, will be an unemployed immigrant in Norway. Within a short time, Tagliano discovers that the only way to achieve success in this new society is using his own unorthodox methods. Thus begins the adventure.

Soon he will become friends with Sigfrid, a young school teacher with a youg son, with whom he will start a relationship. Of course, at one point she starts noticing some of his strange behaviors and will start to suspect something.

Meanwhile Frank will use his old methods and techniques to go on with his new life, in order to open a bar (Flamingo), he will use blackmail, extortion and violence, soon the local police will start suspecting about him as he starts taking over Lilyhammer’s underworld.

In a few words, take a New York mafia veteran and put him in the snow-white poor setting of a Norwegian small town: original, funny and entertaining.

Stars: Steve Van Zandt, Marian Saastad Ottesen and Trond Fausa Aurvaa
