When you love football since childhood more than anything else, when you don't have the desired body for this sport and you play with team mates who are a body and half taller.
When your
family, friends and everyone laugh when they hear you talk about
dreams and goals, when they say and repeat that you are not worth what you
want and you're a fool... When this happens, you will find yourself faced with the same story and life of Daniel E. Ruettiger, aka "Rudy".
Rudy achieved
his dream the last day of his career, after 4 years of studying, working and
training. He strived to be part of a team with the best players from around the
country, struggled to finally get in the third team of substitutes, to become the
substitute number 33 for a first team of 11 players..
For four
years he trained before school and after work. He saw every game sitting on the
edge of the field, dreaming of playing.
During his last
game, a few minutes away from the end, the entire audience starts to call him by chanting "Rudy, Rudy, Rudy".
The coach, a
strict man, acknowledges his efforts and lets Rudy play just this minute, just one minute in four years. A minute that represents a lifetime for Rudy. He
makes no spectacular play, it is not necessary.
This happened 30 years
after the fans of Notre Dame ever chanted the name of any player.
If you see this movie's poster it will look like an average sport film; while the true
idea conveyed by the film is a simple lesson of life, a lesson on how
to face your aspirations, to pursue your dreams and never give up, NEVER , even though only one person believes in you and is not there to remind you.
